2026 Surron Light Bee X in green

Surron Light Bee X vs Ultra Bee HP (2026): Which Surron Should You Buy?

If you're shopping for an electric dirt bike, you've probably narrowed it down to two Surrons: the Light Bee X, the bike that kicked off the electric dirt bike craze, and the Ultra Bee HP, Surron's full-size powerhouse. Both got big upgrades for 2026, and they're closer in price than you might think, so picking the right one comes down to your size, your skill level and where you ride.

As an authorized Surron dealer in Jacksonville, we help riders make this call every week. Here's how the two compare, using Surron's own published specs.

2026 Surron Light Bee X: Light, Quick and Easy to Learn

The Light Bee X is all about being light and flickable. For 2026, Surron bumped peak power from 8 kW to 10 kW and moved to a new 72V battery, so the bike that was already a blast is now noticeably stronger.

Key Light Bee X specs (Surron):

  • Peak power: 10 kW
  • Torque at the wheel: 217 ft-lb
  • Battery: 72V / 35Ah, removable (about 31 lb)
  • Top speed: 50 mph
  • Range: up to 46.6 miles at 24.85 mph
  • Acceleration: 0-19 mph in 1.29 s, 0-31 mph in 2.5 s
  • Charge time (20-80%): 2.15 hours
  • Curb weight: 130 lb
  • Seat height: 32.68 in
  • Ground clearance: 10.63 in
  • Front fork travel: 7.87 in
  • Tires: 70/100-19 front, 3.00-18 rear
  • Riding modes: Sport and Eco
  • Colors: White, Black, Purple and Green

The Light Bee X is for you if: you're new to dirt bikes, you're a smaller or younger adult rider, you want something easy to load in a truck bed, or you just love throwing a light bike around on tight trails.

2026 Surron Ultra Bee HP: Full-Size Power

The Ultra Bee HP is a different animal. It's bigger, heavier and far more powerful, with a Turbo mode that makes 24.5 kW. Think of it as a real full-size electric dirt bike rather than an upgraded pit bike.

Key Ultra Bee HP specs (Surron):

  • Peak power: 21.5 kW, or 24.5 kW in Turbo mode
  • Torque at the wheel: 384 ft-lb
  • Battery: 74V / 60Ah, removable (about 47 lb)
  • Top speed: 59 mph
  • Range: up to 71 miles at 31 mph
  • Acceleration: 0-31 mph in 1.84 s, 0-50 mph in 3.7 s
  • Charge time (20-80%): 2.5 hours
  • Curb weight: 195 lb
  • Seat height: 35.83 in
  • Ground clearance: 12.4 in
  • Front fork travel: 9.49 in, with adjustable compression and rebound
  • Tires: 80/100-19 front, 100/90-18 rear
  • Riding modes: Eco, Daily, Sports, Crawl and Reverse, plus Turbo
  • Colors: Carbon Black and Desert Brown

The Ultra Bee HP is for you if: you're a taller or heavier rider, you already have some riding experience, you want longer rides on one charge, or you ride rougher terrain where the extra suspension travel and clearance pay off.

Tech Both Bikes Share

The 2026 models also got a lot smarter. According to Surron, both bikes now include:

  • Surron Wheelie Control (SWC) with two adjustable levels
  • Auto hold and electronic gyroscope tilt protection
  • Adjustable regenerative braking (the Ultra Bee HP adds separate coasting and braking regen, plus ASR traction control)
  • App connection with GPS tracking and over-the-air updates on US models

And like every electric dirt bike, there's no gas, no oil changes and no clutch to learn. You charge at home, and the battery comes out so you can charge it indoors.

Price: How Far Apart Are They?

On our site today, the 2026 Light Bee X is listed at $4,499 and the 2026 Ultra Bee HP (24.5 kW) is listed at $6,999. That's about a $2,500 difference for more than double the power, a bigger battery and a full-size chassis. We also carry 2025 models of both bikes at lower prices while they last.

Which Surron Should You Choose?

Start with two questions: how big are you, and how much riding have you done?

  • New rider, smaller frame, or mostly tight woods and backyard riding? Go Light Bee X.
  • Taller or heavier rider, some experience, and you want more power and range? Go Ultra Bee HP.
  • Buying for a family where riders will share the bike? The Light Bee X is the easier bike for most people to grow into.

Both are off-road bikes, so ride where it's legal and always wear your gear.
