Are STACYC parts model-specific?
Yes. STACYC runs two distinct electrical platforms — 18V and 36V. Batteries, chargers, motors, and throttle assemblies are not interchangeable between platforms. Always confirm your exact model before ordering.
What is the difference between the 16eDRIVE and the 16eDRIVE ELITE?
The standard 16eDRIVE runs on the 18V platform with a brushed motor and non-vented side panels. The 16eDRIVE ELITE runs on the 36V platform with a high-output brushless motor and has vented side panels. They look similar but share very few parts — confirm which version you have before ordering any electrical components.
How do I know if I have the 18V or 36V platform?
Check the label on your battery or charger. The 12eDRIVE and standard 16eDRIVE use 18V (20Vmax) batteries. The 16eDRIVE ELITE, 18eDRIVE, and 20eDRIVE use 36V (40Vmax) batteries. The ELITE also has vented side panels, which the standard 16eDRIVE does not.
Do STACYC batteries cross-fit between models?
Within the same platform, yes. The 5.0Ah battery fits both the 12eDRIVE and standard 16eDRIVE (18V platform). The 6.0Ah battery fits the 16eDRIVE ELITE, 18eDRIVE, and 20eDRIVE (36V platform). Do not mix batteries across platforms — they are not compatible.
